Flu Shot Details

Clinics will offer the standard trivalent influenza vaccine at no cost to employees. Walk-ins welcome and events are open to BNSF employees only. Flu shot vouchers that are redeemable at local pharmacies will also be available later this fall.

Health Screening Details

Voluntary health screening will provide a snapshot of your current health status. The free screenings are available to all employees and usually take about 20 minutes. Walk-ins welcome and events are open to BNSF employees only. The screening includes measuring blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, pulse rate, and weight. This combination of information can help you identify ways to lower your risk of developing disease and improve your health. All results are treated as confidential medical information. Fasting and non-fasting screenings are offered. You’ll get the most accurate results if you fast (not consume any food or beverages except water) for 9–12 hours before your screening, but you can still get a pretty good idea of whether you should receive additional testing if you don't fast. Share your results with your primary care physician, especially if your screening results are outside a healthy range.
